324 People in Central Jakarta Netted for Not Wearing Masks

Without their support, the coronavirus will continue to be rampant

The Central Jakarta Satpol PP has noted that as many as 324 violators have been subject to social work and administrative sanctions for breaking the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) rules during mask operation on Tuesday (11/24).

Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head Bernard Tambunan detailed, those violators were netted from several sub-district areas, with detailed Cempaka Putih (66 people), Tanah Abang (64 people), Sawah Besar (34 people), Senen (33 people), Kemayoran (32 people), Menteng (28 people), Gambir (25 people) and Johar Baru (14 people).

"Then 28 others are netted spontaneously," he expressed, Wednesday (11/25).

Of 324, 3 of them were subject to administrative fines with a total value of Rp 450,000 and 321 others were subject to social work sanctions by cleaning public facilities.

"This operation is a routine agenda amid the pandemic," he stressed.

By doing so, residents' compliance with the importance of implementing health protocols could be continuously improved.

"Without their support, the coronavirus will continue to be rampant," he stated.
